Exceptionally well preserved, the historical Lamminaho farm is a unique complex and a fine example of vernacular architecture by the River Oulujoki. The old artefacts, items and buildings owned by the same family are on display. The main building, or farm house, the cowshed and stables located opposite, and the row of three sheds flank a rectangular yard area, which includes a former still house. In all, there are 20 buildings on the farm, with valuable details of vernacular way of construction. Located on the bank is the oldest building, a storage shed from 1793, as well as a three storey grain barn, and a vaulted masonry cellar built into the embankment.

At some distance, is a group of buildings consisting of three storage sheds and stables. Lamminaho was bequeathed and donated to the National Board of Antiquities, and at present the buildings and their immediate surroundings are officially protected under the provisions of the Building Conservation Act. The Lamminaho Farm is located 7 kilometres from Vaala, by the former Niskakoski rapids near the Nuojua power station.

Guidance from the north bank (Highway No. 22) and south bank, from the direction of Kestilä (Road 8792).
